  You need to take and pass the DSA theory test before you can book your practical driving test.  
  The theory test comprises of 50 multiple choice questions, followed by a test of your hazard perception skills. Multiple Choice  
  Theory test
  • 50 multiple choice questions.
  • On a computer touch screen.
  • 43 (or more) out of 50 to pass.
  • 57 minutes to complete this part.
  • 14 video clips, each lasting one minute.
  • Mouse click when you see a hazard.
  • Score up to 5 marks per hazard.
  • To pass you need 44 out of 75 marks.

  Practical driving test
  • The driving test lasts for about 40 minutes in a variety of road conditions.
  • You will be asked to perform a manoeuvre.
  • Your practical driving test will include approximately 10 minutes of independent driving.
  • You must not accumulate more than 15 driving errors or any serious or dangerous faults.
  • You will be asked 2 basic car maintenance questions known as "Show me tell me"
