High Pass Rate
  You need to take and pass the DSA theory test before you can book your practical driving test.  
 
The theory test comprises of 50 multiple choice questions, followed by a test of your hazard perception skills.
 Multiple Choice  
  Theory test
  • 50 multiple choice questions.
  • On a computer touch screen.
  • 43 (or more) out of 50 to pass.
  • 57 minutes to complete this part.
  • 14 video clips, each lasting one minute.
  • Mouse click when you see a hazard.
  • Score up to 5 marks per hazard.
  • To pass you need 44 out of 75 marks.
 
         
  Practical driving test
  • The driving test lasts for about 40 minutes in a variety of road conditions.
  • You will be asked to perform ‘certain' manoeuvres.
  • You must not accumulate more than 15 driving errors or any serious or dangerous faults.
  • You will be asked 2 basic car maintenance questions known as "Show me tell me"
